Growing a community

from the start…

Small World Farm began in May 2021 when Claire Bowen and her husband Patrick purchased the 670 tree orchard. The well established apple trees sit on just over 2 acres of land and formerly functioned as a secondary growing location for another local orchard.

The Bowens, whose family home abuts the orchard, have made a promise to cultivate not only the fruit from the trees, but a community of people and business that thrive on the unique abundance of life in this corner of our small world. The orchard, farm plots, beehives, chicken coops, and compost piles each play an important role in life on the farm. While Small World Farm is not certified as organic, all the components of treatments and sprays used on the farm are carefully considered, not only for the health of the trees and farm but for the health of the fruit and all of its consumers. Small World Farm is a family farm stand that hopes its idyllic orchard, flower fields and traditional post and beam barn becomes the setting for your family’s annual traditions and seasonal, local shopping.

We hope to see you there!
